The ads are repetitive, banal, and appeal to our basest natures and what passes for news in an election cycle isn't much better. I thought I was just too long gone to "get" it. I still don't get it. Does Rod Stewart get paid for this? Why does the cookie look like a fish? What's wrong with the girl? Who eats the cookie? Is this some Wii reference I'm not getting? Should I have stayed until I understood this ad? Do I have to stop eating Chips Ahoy?
